About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader for the role of Director of Enabling Technology to drive operational excellence and lead large-scale transformation initiatives within our IT infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of modernising the university’s network services, data centre services, and applications, aligning with our broader Platform Modernisation program.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer and Executive Director Campus Services some of the role’s responsibilities are:

• Collaborate with leaders across VU to develop and execute transformative initiatives that enhance operating models, service delivery and student engagement.
• Lead critical IT projects, such as network replacement, “cloud right” delivery, and the implementation of call centre technologies, ensuring these projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to harness innovative technologies and solutions that drive institutional advancement.
• Support the advancement of research infrastructure and modern workplace solutions, including Device as a Service (DaaS) to foster innovation and efficiency.

Conditions & Benefits:

This full-time position will be offered on a 3-year fixed term contract basis. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, including an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17%.
