Music school

Melbourne's beloved family music school for 0-8 year olds and the grownups who love them. Founded in 2009 and reaching tens of thousands of families over the years, The Rhythm Tree continues to grow musical families, bringing the joy of music and connection into their daily lives.
Currently offering FAMILY classes (award winning mixed age music and movement classes for 0-6 year olds and their parents/carers), Rhythm Kids classes(dynamic & innovative drumming, singing and movement classes for 4-8 year olds) and Babies classes (nurturing parent and infant music and movement classes for babies under 9 months)
Based at CERES Environmental Park in Brunswick East since 2010 and now offering ONLINE classes via zoom.

Experience the Music Together curriculum, which includes an award-winning mix of original songs and traditional tunes from a range of musical styles, including folk, blues, jazz, and world music. The music is pitched just right for your child’s voices, and the arrangements are fun, sophisticated and loved by both children and grownups!
The Music Together songs are organised into collections of twenty-five songs, with four collections taught each year. Your family is welcome to join us at any time. Many families cycle back and re-experience the collections as their children turn three or four. Because music-learning is cumulative, your children will experience developmental benefits that build over time.
Some of these songs are revisited during Rhythm Kids in special ‘animal collection’ as well as many new songs and drumming patterns from around the world.
